Responsibilities
- Provide specialized wound ostomy continence care (WOC) following established standards for patient assessment, planning, and treatment
- Conduct wound assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, monitor healing progress, and adjust therapies as needed
- Perform and oversee wound care procedures and therapies, coordinate ostomy care when indicated, and document results in the medical record
- Educate patients and families on wound care, ostomy management, infection prevention, and discharge planning; collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and quality guidelines; participate in holiday coverage as required by the assignment

Requirements
- Active registered nurse license in Georgia
- Minimum 2 years of recent wound care experience within the WOC specialty
- AHA BLS certification
- CWON or CWOCN certification required; WCC, CWS, or CWCN certification also required
- Ostomy certification is optional
- No local candidates within 50 miles of the assignment; must be willing to travel
- Ability to work 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday–Friday, in a hospital setting
