Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Perioperative RN (OR) — Polson, MT. Starts 07/13/2026 for a travel assignment lasting weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,185–$2,313. Guaranteed hours: none. Shift: primarily 5x8 days (8-hour days), with potential 10-hour days. Setting: Critical Access Hospital with surgical services including Pre-op, OR, PACU Phase I & II, and Endoscopy (Endo). This role supports general, orthopedic, obstetric (including C-sections), GI, ENT, pain, and dental procedures withEpic EMR documentation.

Responsibilities
- Deliver perioperative nursing care across Pre-op, OR (circulating), Endoscopy support, and PACU Phase I & II, ensuring patient safety and continuity of care.
- Circulate obstetric surgical cases (including C-sections) and support a broad range of general and specialty procedures (ortho, OB/GYN, GI, ENT, dental, etc.).
- perform pre-operative assessments, IV starts, specimen handling, infection control, and adherence to time-out/universal protocol; maintain sterile technique and chart accordingly.
- Monitor patients throughout the perioperative continuum, manage acute changes, implement pain management strategies, and facilitate safe recovery planning and discharge coordination.
- Document in Epic, communicate with anesthesia and surgical teams, and collaborate with the broader care team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Floats within surgical services as needed and may assist other departments to support patient flow and staffing.
Requirements
- Active Montana RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission.
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience; must include experience in a perioperative setting and demonstrate ability to work in a critical access hospital environment.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS.
- EMR: Epic experience is required.
- Ability to circulate in the OR, support PACU, and manage a range of perioperative procedures; comfortable with C-section circulation and OB/GYN cases.
- On-call and weekend availability as part of the shift pattern (approximately 8 call shifts per month).
