Responsibilities
- Provide direct, skilled nursing care for adult patients on a Med Surg Tele unit, including telemetry monitoring.
- Assess patient conditions, interpret vital signs, respond to changes in status, and escalate as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; document administration accurately in the EPIC EMR.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team, participate in rounds, and update care plans to reflect patient progress.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions; ensure safe and appropriate care transitions.
- Maintain regulatory compliance, infection control practices, and a safe environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association
- 2+ years of Med Surg Telemetry experience
- EPIC EMR experience
- Ability to work evenings and commit to weekend/holiday coverage as required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility due to policy restricting local travelers
