Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for adult patients during surgical procedures within multiple specialties (orthopedics, total joints, fractures, gynecology, robotic, urology, general, ENT, ortho spine).
- Assist the surgical team before, during, and after procedures; support patient positioning, sterile technique, and instrument counts.
- Monitor patient status, manage anesthesia-related needs, and respond rapidly to intraoperative changes.
- Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies; verify correct implants and instruments are available for cases.
- Document intraoperative care and events in the Epic electronic medical record; communicate clearly with the anesthesia team and circulating staff.
- Ensure patient safety, advocate for patient comfort, and coordinate with the broader perioperative team to maintain efficient case flow.
- Be prepared for a variable call schedule as part of the OR coverage.

Requirements
- OR nursing experience: 2+ years in operating room settings
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred
- Travel experience: Prior travel nursing experience required
- EMR: Epic experience or familiarity with Epic documentation
- Knowledge: Competent across a broad OR caseload including ortho, total joints, fractures, gynecology, robotics, urology, general, ENT, and spine
- Schedule flexibility: Ability to work 10-hour days with occasional call; no block scheduling
