Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for general, colorectal, bariatric, and plastic surgery post-operative and Med Surg patients
- Conduct nursing assessments, monitor vital signs, administer medications, manage IV therapies, wound care, drains, and postoperative devices
- Collaborate with physicians, case management, and ancillary teams to develop and execute discharge plans
- Document care accurately in the electronic medical record and ensure patient safety and infection control standards
- Respond to emergencies, implement AHA BLS protocols, and participate in ongoing patient education and family communication
Requirements
- Current RN license to practice in Georgia
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in Med Surg or surgical specialties
- AHA BLS certification
- Ability to work night shift (7:00 pm–7:30 am) and to cover required major and minor holidays
- No local candidates within 50 miles
