Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures following approved protocols and exam orders
- Position patients and body parts accurately; select technical factors to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure
- Safely operate radiology equipment, perform image acquisition, and review images for diagnostic quality; initiate repeats only when clinically justified
- Apply radiation safety principles (ALARA), protect patients and staff, and maintain shielding and data privacy standards
- Communicate with radiologists and team members to ensure timely, accurate imaging and reporting
- Document procedures, verify patient information, and participate in quality control and equipment maintenance as assigned
Requirements
- Certification: ARRT certification in Radiography required
- Certification: American Heart Association BLS required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of diagnostic radiology experience in the specified specialty
- Availability: Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., in an outpatient imaging setting
- Licensure/Regulatory: Eligible for appropriate licensure or certification as required by state regulations; interpretation and compliance with regulatory requirements for radiologic practice
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the United States and relocate as needed for the assignment
