Travel Registered Nurse Urgent Care Job

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered care to a diverse population (infants through geriatrics) in a high-volume urgent care setting (~90 visits per day)
- Monitor telemetry and respond to cardiac rhythms with accurate interpretation; document findings in the electronic chart
- Administer medications via Omnicell, ensuring accuracy, safety, and appropriate patient education
- Perform triage, initial assessment, and timely escalation as needed; collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and interpreters
- Document care using EPIC; contribute to flow of patient throughput and bed/room management; participate in patient education and discharge planning
- Maintain readiness for weekend coverage and potential floating within the hospital per manager discretion; complete required Healthstream modules and undergo on-site rhythm testing as needed
Requirements
- Licensure: Current New York RN license in hand
- Certifications: BLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale (required at start/submission)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in a specialty area (urgent care or ED); preferred 5 years current Urgent Care or ED experience
- Skills: Telemetry experience; EPIC charting proficiency; Omnicell medication system familiarity; rhythm recognition capability
- Testing/compliance: Complete Relias EKG exam within ~72 hours after signing; meet facility rhythm-read standards (on-site proctored test; remediation possible)
- Education: RN education required; specifics not listed beyond licensure
- Scheduling and duties: Weekend coverage required; willing to float within hospital as directed
- Location restrictions: Local candidates with primary residence within 50 miles of Saratoga Springs, NY are not eligible
- Other: References required; travel experience preferred
