Responsibilities
- Perform assessment, diagnostic testing, prescribed treatment, and care of the respiratory therapy patient; evaluate treatment effectiveness and adjust as needed
- Draw arterial blood gases and interpret results; document findings in the EMR and collaborate with the care team
- Provide NICU/PICU and general respiratory care across patient populations, including ventilation support and airway management
- Monitor patient status, adjust therapy, and participate in triage decisions when patients are transferred to the main hospital
- Maintain accurate department records; ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and clinical protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians; participate in ongoing quality improvement and education as needed

Requirements
- Current Massachusetts Respiratory Therapist license; RRT credential active
- AHA BLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- NBRC verification appropriate to the credential
- Ability to draw arterial blood gases
- NICU/PICU experience required; EMR experience strongly preferred
- ACLS preferred
- Float: No; must work within the expectations of a hospital travel assignment
- No local travelers accepted; must reside more than 50 miles from the assignment location
