Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adults on medical-surgical telemetry units, including assessment, planning, and ongoing monitoring
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, manage IV therapy, and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Perform initial and ongoing assessments, develop and update care plans, and document in the EPIC system
- Monitor telemetry data, interpret rhythm changes, and escalate concerns per hospital protocol
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and discharge planning as appropriate
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license
- 2+ years of Med/Surg Tele experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
- Epic EMR experience
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights) with every other weekend and holiday rotation
- Strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital environment
