Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed radiation therapy doses using linear accelerators and associated imaging systems per physician orders
- Prepare patients for treatment, including correct identification, immobilization, and precise setup to ensure accurate dosing
- Monitor patients during treatment sessions, address comfort and safety concerns, and report adverse events or deviations
- Maintain accurate treatment documentation, perform routine QA checks, and ensure proper dose calculation and record-keeping
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, medical physicists, and therapy team to uphold treatment fidelity and safety standards
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines, including BLS procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Radiation Therapy
- AHA BLS certification required
- Licensure: active licensure as required by state for Radiation Therapy Tech
- Ability to work in a clinical radiation therapy setting
- Demonstrated ability to manage day-to-day treatment delivery and patient care within a fast-paced environment
