Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor PT plans of care under supervision of a physical therapist for patients in a long-term acute care/long-term care setting
- Lead and progress therapeutic exercises, ROM, strengthening, gait training, balance, and functional mobility activities
- Assist with activities of daily living and functional training to support patient independence
- Monitor patient responses to treatment, document progress, and communicate effectively with the PT, nursing staff, and other team members
- Maintain patient safety, proper positioning, wound care as directed, modality applications per orders, and equipment safety
- Ensure accurate, timely charting and adherence to infection control and safety protocols
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in New Hampshire or eligibility
- Ability to work in a long-term acute care / long-term care setting
- Proficiency in therapeutic exercise, gait training, ROM, and functional mobility techniques
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; capable of accurate documentation
- Availability for a 13-week assignment with guaranteed hours
- Travel-capable and able to work a 5x8 day shift
