Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients in the ER according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess patient condition, implement plans of care, and monitor progress within the nursing workflow.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at various levels, ensuring safe and effective patient care delivery.
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team members and other disciplines to optimize patient outcomes.
- Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making in daily patient care and scenario management.
Requirements
- Active RN license in California (or equivalent eligibility to practice in California)
- ER nursing experience preferred; ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- Ability to work evenings and 12-hour shifts
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; capable of supervising and coordinating care across care team members
