Setting: long-term care facility with obstetric/OB care coverage, including L&D, postpartum, and well-baby services and cross-coverage in related units. The OB department handles roughly 100 deliveries per year and up to 350 ER visits per month, requiring multifaceted nursing support in a small, critical-access environment. Orientation will occur on Tuesdays.

Responsibilities
- Provide obstetric and newborn nursing care across L&D, Postpartum, and well-baby services; monitor labor progression, fetal status, and maternal vitals; respond to obstetric and perinatal emergencies per protocol
- Administer medications, analgesia, and supportive therapies; collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the interdisciplinary team to implement care plans
- Document patient care and workflows in Cerner and use OB-specific tools such as FetalLink; ensure accurate, timely, and compliant charting
- Support triage, admission, and discharge activities; assist with newborn care, lactation support, and family education as appropriate
- Float between OB, L&D, and Med/Surg as needed; maintain competency across units in a small facility with multifaceted duties
- Adhere to the facility call-off policy (3 shifts per 13-week contract without penalty or impact to guaranteed hours)

Requirements
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Certifications: BLS (AHA) and NRP required
- Ability to float between OB, L&D, and Med/Surg in a small, multifaceted setting
- Charting experience with Cerner and OB-specific tools (FetalLink) preferred
- Preferred certifications: AWHONN, STABLE, ACLS (AHA)
