Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or group of patients in the ED according to established standards of care and the nursing process
- Perform comprehensive assessments, implement care plans, and evaluate patient responses
- Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions, responding promptly to any changes in patient condition
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff on the unit; coordinate care with other disciplines
- Utilize critical thinking, professional judgment, and collaboration to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
- Document care activities accurately and in a timely manner, maintaining compliance with policies and procedures
Requirements
- ER nursing experience or demonstrated expertise in emergency department care
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (3x12 schedule) in a fast-paced ED environment
- Willingness to travel for a temporary assignment
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
- Compliance with unit policies and patient safety standards
- Willingness to work in Los Angeles, CA, within the travel assignment framework
