Travel Radiology Radiology Tech Job
Radiology Tech – Radiology in Herrin, IL. This travel assignment begins May 4, 2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,368 to $2,425 per week, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift: Weekend midnights (Friday through Sunday, 19:00–07:30). Setting: hospital radiology department. No OR or fluoroscopy; the technologist will work independently in the X-ray suite, with MRI responsibilities as required by the shift and department needs.

Responsibilities
- Perform MRI and radiography procedures according to radiologist-approved protocols.
- Operate MRI and X-ray equipment; position patients and select imaging parameters.
- Utilize PACS to verify and attach imaging studies to patient records; ensure accuracy of studies.
- Verify scan protocols with the Radiologist and maintain IV/contrast competency as required.
- Assist with clerical and office duties to support department efficiency; document exams and maintain workflow in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and radiation safety practices; work independently in the X-ray suite during scheduled shifts.
Requirements
- Active ARRT certification in Radiology
- MRI licensure or MRI certification
- IEMA licensure
- CPR certification
- Education: Associate degree in Radiology or equivalent certification
- Experience: 1 year radiology experience preferred
- Ability to work weekend midnights and perform radiology procedures in a hospital setting; proficient with PACS and radiology workflow
