Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for patients at the Medical Step-Down level of care, with monitoring and interventions as indicated
- Monitor vital signs, telemetry, and hemodynamic status; administer medications and manage IV therapy within scope of practice
- Collaborate with physicians, case management, and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Assess patient progress, respond to clinical changes, and escalate concerns per protocols
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record
- Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and discharge planning processes; support smooth transitions of care
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Medical Step-Down or a closely related acute care setting
- Education: RN degree; BSN preferred per job notes
- Ability to work in a hospital/clinic setting with 12-hour shifts; availability for day or night options
