Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to a patient group in a telemetry/hospital setting according to the nursing process and established standards.
- Collect pertinent data, perform ongoing assessment, identify diagnoses, and develop a care plan with interventions to achieve outcomes.
- Implement the plan, coordinate care delivery with the interdisciplinary team, and promote a safe, healing environment.
- Evaluate patient progress, adjust plans as needed, and participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Delegate appropriately and supervise activities of assigned nursing staff; provide education to patients, families, and team members.
- Document care and critical information in the electronic health record with accuracy and timeliness.
Requirements
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice (California required)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) credentialing from an approved vendor
- ACLS certification is required
- Epic EMR experience is required
- Minimum of two years of recent acute/field nursing experience
- BSN: preferred
- Ability to work night shift in a hospital setting; meet assignment-specific requirements
