Responsibilities
- Provide planning, coordination, and nursing care for neonates in the NICU on scheduled night shifts.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans; administer medications; monitor and note physiological changes; address psychosocial needs of neonates and families.
- Educate patients and families on care and discharge planning; document education provided.
- Supervise and delegate care to ancillary personnel within scope of practice; cross‑train and float to pediatrics as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation, communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team, and respond to evolving patient conditions.
Requirements
- NICU or neonatal care experience is preferred.
- Ability to plan, implement, and document nursing care for neonates; strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Experience coordinating with ancillary staff and willingness to float to pediatric care as needed.
- Availability for a 13‑week travel assignment with night shift requirements.
- Ability to work in a home healthcare - hospice setting and travel toCalifornia assignments.
