Responsibilities
- Provide on-site leadership as a House Supervisor, directing nursing care and ensuring patient safety across assigned units.
- Supervise nursing staff, coordinate nurse-to-patient assignments, and cover meal periods as needed, including floating to ER, ICU, and Med/Surg.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to prioritize patient care, manage admissions, discharges, and bed flow.
- Monitor compliance with clinical policies, safety standards, and quality metrics; lead escalation and incident response when required.
- Facilitate effective communications during handoffs, mentor on-shift staff, and ensure unit readiness throughout the shift.
Requirements
- Current, active California RN license.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; NRP preferred.
- Proof of negative TB screening within 12 months of contract start date.
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and float to ER, ICU, and Med/Surg to support meal breaks.
- Availability for a 20-week travel assignment starting 04/06/2026.
