Responsibilities
- Provide direct and/or consultative speech-language pathology services to students in a K-12 setting, supporting communication and language goals across ages.
- Conduct screenings, comprehensive evaluations, and determine eligibility for services; develop and update IEP-based goals and intervention plans.
- Deliver individual or small-group therapy using evidence-based approaches; monitor progress and adjust treatment plans to meet IEP objectives.
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families; participate in IEP/eligibility meetings; communicate student progress and home strategies to caregivers.
- Maintain thorough documentation, track outcomes, and ensure compliance with district policies and state/federal regulations; protect student confidentiality.
- Support Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates with mentoring and supervision as part of a progressive, CF-friendly district environment.
Requirements
- CF-eligible or currently in a Clinical Fellowship year in Speech-Language Pathology
- Typically, a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (consistent with standard qualifications for the role)
- Ability to work effectively in a school setting and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to document progress clearly and maintain student records
- Willingness to follow district policies and procedures and to participate in required meetings
