Viroqua, WI
Contracted
Vernon Manor - FWS
Mid Level
Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Licensed Practical Nurse specializing in Long-Term Care in the welcoming community of Viroqua, Wisconsin. This multi-week assignment is designed for compassionate professionals who believe in preserving dignity, comfort, and independence for residents across the aging continuum. As you bring skilled hands, thoughtful assessments, and a patient-centered approach to daily care, you’ll help families find reassurance and peace of mind. You’ll work within a supportive team that values continuity of care, collaboration with registered nurses, and the small-town warmth that makes Wisconsin feel like home. This is your chance to make a tangible difference day after day, while growing as a clinician in a setting that prioritizes quality of life as much as clinical excellence. Beyond the clinical room, you’ll gain exposure to interdisciplinary care plans, adaptive equipment, chronic disease management, and holistic pain control—skills that reinforce your standing as a capable, trusted member of the care team.

Wisconsin’s natural beauty is part of the experience. The Driftless Region’s scenic countryside offers outdoor trails, rivers, and winding bluffs that invite respite after shifts. In Viroqua you’ll enjoy a tight-knit community with local events, farm-to-table dining, and a pace that supports meaningful work-life balance. For those who crave broader horizons, this role also sits within a network that offers placements across the United States, enabling you to explore diverse facilities, patient populations, and team cultures while maintaining your professional momentum and personal well-being. The opportunity to travel within a supported program means you can experience different care models and expand your repertoire—still backed by a stable, patient-first employer.

Role specifics and benefits are designed to maximize your impact and your growth. In this long-term care setting, you’ll perform essential nursing duties under the supervision of a registered nurse, including administering medications and treatments per care plans, monitoring vital signs, and identifying subtle changes in residents’ conditions. You’ll conduct head-to-toe assessments, document observations accurately in the electronic health record, and communicate promptly with the care team to escalate concerns. You’ll assist with activities of daily living, support rehabilitation goals, manage wound care as prescribed, and participate in admissions, transfers, and discharges with sensitivity and professionalism. You will reinforce infection prevention protocols, support safe mobility and fall prevention, and provide patient and family education to enhance understanding of care plans. As a key member of the care team, you’ll mentor and support certified nursing assistants, contribute to care planning, and advocate for residents’ preferences and rights. The position offers professional growth through clinical mentorship, opportunities to advance to lead roles such as charge nurse, and access to ongoing education and specialty training that align with long-term care trajectories.

Benefits include more than competitive compensation. You’ll receive weekly pay in the range of $1,652 to $1,710, with guaranteed hours of 40.0 per week, and the possibility of additional extension opportunities based on performance and facility needs. A signing bonus may be available, along with housing assistance to ease relocation or temporary housing during assignments, and the flexibility typical of travel roles that allow you to extend or transfer to new assignments as your career evolves. Our program places a strong emphasis on continuity of care, staff safety, and maintaining high morale, and it provides 24/7 support while traveling with the company to ensure you have dependable assistance whenever you need it. This comprehensive support network helps you navigate scheduling, compliance, licensing questions, and on-the-ground logistics so you can focus on delivering exceptional resident care.

Our company values are grounded in empowering our staff, recognizing that healthy, satisfied nurses foster better outcomes for residents. We are committed to your career advancement and to creating a collaborative, respectful, and uplifting work environment. You’ll find purposeful mentorship, constructive feedback, and clear pathways to expand your clinical capabilities and leadership responsibilities. The organization also prioritizes work-life balance, compensation transparency, and a culture where every team member’s voice matters as we continually improve care delivery across diverse settings. You’ll join colleagues who share a passion for compassionate care, continuous learning, and community impact.
