In this long-term care setting, you’ll perform essential nursing duties under the supervision of a registered nurse, including administering medications and treatments per care plans, monitoring vital signs, and identifying subtle changes in residents’ conditions. You’ll conduct head-to-toe assessments, document observations accurately in the electronic health record, and communicate promptly with the care team to escalate concerns. You’ll assist with activities of daily living, support rehabilitation goals, manage wound care as prescribed, and participate in admissions, transfers, and discharges with sensitivity and professionalism. You will reinforce infection prevention protocols, support safe mobility and fall prevention, and provide patient and family education to enhance understanding of care plans. As a key member of the care team, you’ll mentor and support certified nursing assistants, contribute to care planning, and advocate for residents’ preferences and rights.
