Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department, Utica, NY, United States. Travel assignment starting 06/01/2026 for weeks with guaranteed 36 hours weekly. Weekly pay range: $2,149–$2,348. Shift: 12-hour day shifts (8:30 a.m.–9:00 p.m.) on a block schedule; block scheduling is never guaranteed. Setting: hospital-based emergency department.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the ED across age groups with rapid assessment, triage, monitoring, and documentation
- Administer medications and IV therapies; support resuscitation efforts; manage care for diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, and respiratory failure
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and ancillary staff; assist with procedures and equipment use; ensure patient safety and comfort
- Document all care in the EPIC EMR; maintain accurate records and effective handoffs to receiving teams
- Monitor vital signs, interpret rhythms, and respond to emergencies; assist with patient disposition and discharge planning
- Float as needed within the ED to support patient flow and maintain care standards; maintain required certifications and competency
Requirements
- Active New York RN license (NURSYS verification)
- 2+ years ED experience with pediatric exposure; travel experience required
- Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS; NIHSS; TNCC must be in hand
- EPIC EMR experience
- RTO (time off) must be included at submission; valid driver’s license with address matching demographics
- Local candidates within 75 miles may be offered a local rate
