Responsibilities
- Prepare the operative suite and surgical field to ensure a safe, sterile environment; monitor sterile technique throughout procedures
- Gather and organize instruments, supplies, and equipment; assist the surgeon and operative team as needed
- Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and team; troubleshoot instruments and equipment during cases
- Support the surgical team by handling supplies and serving as a surgical assistant when applicable (not a certified surgical first assistant)
- Mentor, precept, or train in various modalities; participate in performance improvement initiatives
- Participate in inventory, ordering, and stocking of ORs; help ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards
- May be asked to provide call or late coverage as required by the facility

Requirements
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
- Experience in a surgical or operating room setting; ability to manage moderate to high acuity cases
- Ability to work evening shifts and participate in on-call or extended coverage as needed
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique, instrument handling, and patient safety
- Capable of functioning effectively in a hospital operating room environment in Austell, GA
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and adaptability in a dynamic perioperative team
