Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or patient group according to established standards and the nursing process.
- Assess patient status, develop and implement care plans, administer medications and treatments within scope, and monitor outcomes.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient management.
- Provide triage, treatment, and support for trauma and emergency patients as part of an ER-capable scope within the assigned setting; document findings and communicate changes promptly.
- Maintain adherence to clinical standards, including NCI guidelines and moderate sedation protocols, and participate in ongoing quality and safety initiatives.
- Assist with discharge planning and family education, coordinating with the broader care team to ensure safe transitions and continuity of care.
Requirements
- Active RN license in California (or valid multi-state license per applicable practice rules).
- Certifications: NCI required; Moderate Sedation Training required.
- Experience: ER/acute care or trauma nursing experience preferred.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN).
- Ability to work in a home healthcare - hospice environment and to perform 12-hour day shifts; willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment; strong communication and critical-thinking skills.
