Responsibilities
- Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, including monitoring and documenting health status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, with attention to accuracy and safety.
- Assess vital signs, respond to changes in condition, and communicate updates to the supervising nurse.
- Perform wound care, catheter care, and routine clinical procedures within scope of practice; manage daily living activities in collaboration with the care team.
- Document care accurately in resident records, ensure HIPAA compliance, and participate in care planning and care conferences.
- Support safety, falls prevention, infection control, and respectful, compassionate resident interactions; assist with transfers and mobility as appropriate.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and family when applicable to coordinate care and align with individualized care plans.
Requirements
- Current, active Licensed Practical Nurse license in New Mexico
- Local candidates to the Albuquerque area
- Availability to work 3x12-hour night shifts
- Prior practical nursing experience in a long-term care or similar setting preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members; commitment to resident safety and quality care
