Responsibilities
- Float between Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and occasional Cardiovascular Unit; provide direct nursing care to adult patients in medical-surgical settings.
- Administer medications, monitor patient status, perform IV therapy, wound care (wound vac), and chest tube management per physician orders; document in Meditech EMR and manage Pyxis medication dispensing.
- Monitor and interpret patient conditions; respond to changes, escalate as needed; maintain appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios (Medical 1:6 days/evenings, 1:8 nights; Laulima 1:6; Cardiovascular 1:4 as applicable).
- Collaborate with physicians, case management, and other members of the care team to develop and implement care plans; provide patient and family education.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards; ensure accurate charting and timely communications; participate in unit orientation and ongoing training.

Requirements
- Hawaii RN license active by start date
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred; PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC listed as preferred
- 2–10 years of RN experience in medical-surgical or related acute care settings
- Ability to float to Medical Unit, Laulima Unit, and occasional Cardiovascular Unit
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts; day/evening/night coverage as needed
- Documentation of immunity required; medical and religious exemptions not accepted in lieu of immunity
