Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging procedures using Siemens scanners (Edge Plus, Definition AS, and Force) with attention to image quality and patient safety.
- Administer and manage contrast injections per protocol; monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond promptly.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nursing staff, and other team members to support both inpatient and outpatient imaging needs.
- Operate related systems and documentation platforms (Bayer Medrad contrast injector, Cerner, SBAR) and ensure accurate, thorough record-keeping.
- Maintain CT equipment, uphold radiation safety principles (ALARA), and ensure patient positioning and comfort throughout exams.
- Adhere to ARRT and BLS requirements; maintain current certifications and comply with site policies and procedures.
Requirements
- ARRT certification (CT) and BLS required
- Minimum 2 years of CT imaging experience
- Education: graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program
- Ability to work in a fast-paced 24-hour department with both inpatients and outpatients
- Willingness to work a 12-hour night shift and fulfill holiday coverage requirements
