Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents under the supervision of licensed staff, following individualized plans of care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document administration accurately.
- Monitor vital signs and overall health status; identify and report changes promptly to the supervising RN.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, mobility, and personal care while maintaining dignity and safety.
- Perform routine nursing tasks (wound care, wound assessment, catheter care as trained) and ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement and update care plans; document observations and progress clearly.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a long-term care (geriatric) setting.
- Availability for a local, 8-week assignment with guaranteed hours.
- Willingness to work 12-hour day shifts (3x12 schedule).
- Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with the care team.
- Prior long-term care nursing experience is preferred.
