- Travel assignment with documented MS stroke stepdown experience
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult Med/Surg Stroke Stepdown patients, applying unit protocols
- Monitor neurological status using NIHSS and routine vital signs; report changes promptly
- Administer prescribed medications, manage IV pumps, and handle enteral feeding tubes as needed
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team; document care and progress in the EPIC EMR
- Respond to deteriorating patient conditions; assist with transfers, admissions, and discharge planning
- Maintain isolation precautions and infection control practices as required
Requirements
- Active RN license in New York; Nursys license verification showing an ACTIVE NY license and all active RN licenses
- Current AHA BLS certification; NIHSS certification (required for this unit, can be obtained prior to start)
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Stroke Stepdown experience; travel experience documented on resume
- EPIC EMR experience
- Ability to work on a 64-bed Med/Surg Stroke Stepdown unit and to float as needed
- RTO request must be included at time of submission
