Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult med-surg patients, including initial assessments, ongoing monitoring, and care planning.
- Administer prescribed medications and IV therapies; monitor patient responses and report changes to the multidisciplinary team.
- Document care activities accurately in the electronic health record; collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other professionals to optimize outcomes.
- Respond to clinical changes and emergencies, prioritize patient safety, and participate in routine rounding and patient education.
- Assist with discharge planning, patient and family education, and coordination with ancillary services as needed.
Requirements
- Active California Registered Nurse license (current, in good standing)
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of med-surg nursing experience within the last 3 months
- Ability to work in a 3x12-hour day shift schedule
- Onboarding requirements may include RTO information, birthdate, and Social Security details
