Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in Utica, New York. Start date June 29, 2026 for 13 weeks. Night shift on a 2x3 schedule (2:30 PM–3:00 AM). Guaranteed 36 hours per week with weekly pay ranging from $2,294 to $2,478. Setting: hospital-based ED with floating to other ED units as needed.

Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care for a wide age range, from newborns to older adults, in a high-acuity ED.
- Perform triage, initial assessment, ongoing monitoring, and rapid treatment planning; support resuscitation when needed.
- Administer medications, IVs, therapies, and support procedures appropriate to ED presentations.
- Document all patient data and interventions accurately in the EPIC EMR; communicate clearly during handoffs.
- Collaborate with ED physicians, specialists, and ancillary staff to optimize patient flow and dispositions; float to other ED units as required.
- Manage common ED diagnoses (e.g., stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure) and operate units with equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
Requirements
- Licenses: Active New York State Registered Nurse license; NURSYS verification of RN licenses
- Experience: 2+ years of ED nursing experience with some pediatric exposure; documented travel experience
- Certifications: Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
- EMR: EPIC experience required
- Education: Graduation from an approved nursing program; active NY RN license
- Other: Driver’s license with address matching demographics; ability to float to multiple ED settings; RTO included at time of submission
- Local preference: Local candidates within 75 miles eligible for local rate
