Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
RN - Med Surg/Ortho (C3) - Nights in Lewiston, Maine. This travel nursing assignment involves working in a hospital setting on the Post Surgical unit with a Med Surg/Ortho focus. Responsibilities
- Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the Post Surgical unit, applying the nursing process across a Med Surg/Ortho patient population
- Assess patients on admission and throughout the stay; involve patients and caregivers in care planning and update plans as needed
- Administer IV medications, IV therapy, and blood products per clinical standards and policies
- Monitor patient status, document assessments, and escalate changes to the care team as appropriate
- Maintain patient safety, including competency in restraint and seclusion as required, monitoring and reassessing as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care and effective discharge planning
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in good standing
- BLS certification required
- Experience: 1 year of nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced Post Surgical/Med Surg/Ortho unit and on a nights schedule
- Candidate must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the assignment location
- Licensure verification must be clean; licensure findings may disqualify a candidate
- Education: not specified in notes; standard RN credentialing applies
