Key duties include rapid patient triage and assessment, initiating stabilization for acute conditions, administering medications and IV therapy, performing EKG monitoring and basic life support, and collaborating closely with physicians, physician assistants, respiratory therapists, and unit clerks to ensure seamless patient flow. You’ll assist with procedures, manage telemetry and airway protocols, and deliver clear, concise handoffs during shifts. Documentation and charting will be precise, timely, and compliant with hospital standards, with a strong emphasis on patient and family education, discharge planning, and referrals when appropriate. Your clinical acumen will be tested across a spectrum of emergencies—trauma, stroke, chest pain, sepsis, pediatric crises, and behavioral health challenges—offering ongoing opportunities to refine assessment skills, prioritize care, and optimize outcomes.
