Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for patients in the OR, including preoperative assessment, patient positioning, sterile technique, and intraoperative monitoring.
- Assist the surgical team, maintain a sterile field, manage instruments and supplies, and handle specimens as directed.
- Monitor patient status under anesthesia, respond to intraoperative changes, and participate in emergence and recovery care as appropriate.
- Ensure patient safety, adherence to infection control practices, and compliance with hospital policies; support efficient OR turnover and room readiness.
- Document intraoperative care, events, and equipment used; communicate any concerns promptly to the surgical team.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Oregon
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Start date: 06/08/2026 for a 13-week assignment
- Availability to work 3x12-hour day shifts in the operating room setting
