Responsibilities
- Provide direct maternal and newborn nursing care on a 40-bed mother-baby unit
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, perform ongoing assessments, and administer medications per orders
- Assist with labor support, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn procedures; monitor vital signs
- Provide lactation support, feeding education, and newborn care guidance to families
- Conduct discharge planning and patient teaching; ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record
- Maintain infection control standards and collaborate with obstetric and neonatal teams to optimize patient flow and safety

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Mother Baby unit nursing experience
- Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications
- Experience on a 40-bed mother-baby unit in a high-volume setting (approximately 4,000 deliveries per year)
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (7a–7p) and to cover required holidays; schedule may vary
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; proficient in documentation and patient education
- Eligibility for a travel assignment and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
