Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) travel assignment in Bowie, Maryland, beginning May 11, 2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,414–$1,448. Guaranteed hours: 35 per week. Responsibilities
- Assist with implementation and modification of individualized therapy plans under OT supervision, supporting residents in achieving functional goals.
- Support OT evaluations and contribute to therapy sessions by preparing materials, monitoring responses, and documenting progress in the medical record.
- Facilitate therapeutic activities to improve activities of daily living, mobility, and functional independence for residents.
- Maintain patient safety and risk management during therapy sessions, ensuring proper use of assistive devices and adherence to infection control practices.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including nursing and OT/PT colleagues, to adjust goals and communicate changes in status or needs.
Requirements
- Active Maryland license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or eligibility to obtain licensure per state regulations.
- Ability to perform duties in a skilled nursing setting and to work an 8-hour shift as scheduled.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with ability to document clearly and collaborate with the care team.
- Availability to begin on May 11, 2026 and commit to approximately 13 weeks.
- Commitment to credentialing and background checks required for travel assignments.
