Responsibilities
- Provide ER-level nursing care in a home healthcare - hospice setting, with rapid assessment and stabilization of acute symptoms.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, wound care, and monitor patient status; implement treatment plans per physician orders.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to manage symptoms, coordinate care planning, and escalate care as needed.
- Document care activities accurately in the patient record; ensure safe medication administration and uphold infection control standards.
- When assigned to float pool duties, clock in to the unit being worked and follow unit-specific policies.
Requirements
- Active RN license in California
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- ER nursing experience (minimum 1 year) or demonstrated ER competency
- ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program
- Ability to work nights and adapt to a home healthcare - hospice environment; willingness to travel if required
