Responsibilities
- Perform CT and radiographic imaging procedures on patients across ages from newborn to elderly, following approved protocols and safety standards.
- Operate imaging equipment including Philips, Canon, Carestream systems, Philips portable units, and OEC C-arms; ensure image quality and proper patient positioning.
- Document exams and results in Epic Radiant; coordinate with radiologists and the teleradiology reading service (VRAD) to ensure timely interpretation.
- Maintain radiation safety practices, verify patient identifiers, and manage contrast administration as appropriate.
- Float to support other radiology areas as needed and participate in rotating on-call or weekend coverage per unit needs.
- Communicate findings concisely to interpreting radiologists and provide patient care that adheres to hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- ARRT CT certification required; CT-focused ARRT certification verification preferred
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical CT/radiology experience; teaching facility experience required
- EPIC Radiant experience within the past 2 years (non-negotiable)
- Ability to float to multiple radiology areas and work in a hospital environment
- Reliable transportation; public transit is limited in the area
