Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and provide nursing care to NICU patients on assigned night shifts
- Develop and implement care plans; administer medications and monitor neonates for physiological changes
- Assess psychosocial needs of neonates and provide education and training to families
- Educate and support family members, documenting care progress and patient responses
- Supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary personnel within scope of practice; cross-train and float to Pediatrics as required
- Maintain accurate charting and communicate changes to the healthcare team
Requirements
- Functions within Neonatal Intensive Care Unit duties on specified shifts
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver comprehensive NICU nursing care
- Willingness to cross-train and float to Pediatrics as needed
- Represented by CNA as part of the employment arrangement
- Strong documentation and patient-family education skills
- Must be able to work the 3x12 night shift schedule
