Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed physical therapy assistant treatments under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, following the care plan and modifying activities as directed to promote safety and functional gains.
- Implement and progress therapeutic exercise programs, gait training, balance activities, ROM and strengthening techniques, and functional tasks that support residents’ daily living activities.
- Apply appropriate modalities and assistive devices within scope of practice; monitor patient responses and adjust interventions in collaboration with the supervising PT.
- Document patient progress, outcomes, and any adverse events accurately in the chart; communicate changes in status to the clinical team and participate in care conferences as needed.
- Educate residents and family members on home exercise programs, safety precautions, fall prevention, and activity modification to support community reintegration and long-term functioning.
- Maintain high standards of infection control, privacy, and safety; ensure the therapy area is clean, organized, and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in good standing; Wyoming licensure preferred or eligibility for Wyoming licensure.
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- At least 1 year of PTA clinical experience is preferred (demonstrated competence in geriatric rehabilitation is a plus).
- Ability to work in a long-term care setting with elderly residents; strong communication and teamwork skills; reliable transportation for travel assignments as required.
- Must be able to work daytime shifts and adhere to the contract’s guaranteed hours and schedule.
