Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to postoperative patients in the perioperative short-stay area, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Act as Scrub Technician when needed to support the surgical team.
- Coordinate, manage, and delegate patient care across the perioperative pathway.
- Monitor patient status in recovery, manage pain and recovery protocols, and respond promptly to changes in condition.
- Ensure adherence to established standards of nursing practice and promote teamwork among caregivers.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California.
- Experience in perioperative services or surgical short-stay units.
- Ability to work rotating 8-hour shifts.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced perioperative setting.
- Knowledge of perioperative safety, patient care planning, and documentation practices.
