Responsibilities
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals or radiation intravenously for diagnostic imaging or therapeutic procedures, using radioisotope equipment.
- Prepare stock solutions of radioactive materials and calculate doses to be administered; perform intravenous injections following established procedures.
- Conduct screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation and contribute to overall procedure quality control.
- Document all pertinent information regarding radioactive materials and surveys in the appropriate clinical records; communicate preparation instructions to care teams.
- Manage patient flow and assist with throughput to support inpatient and outpatient services; collaborate with radiologists and other team members.
- Operate nuclear medicine equipment (including the GE Infinia Hawkeye camera) and adhere to radiation safety protocols and quality standards.

Requirements
- Education: Diploma or certificate from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine (Required); Bachelor’s degree in nuclear medicine technology or equivalent (Preferred).
- Licenses/Certifications: State Nuclear Medicine License required (CA); ARRT in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB certification required; Venipuncture certification required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the nuclear medicine field.
- Other: Current nursing license per the state of assignment; ability to work in a hospital setting and complete a travel assignment.
