Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive physical therapy services to the patient population per physician orders and department protocols.
- Conduct evaluative assessments, establish short- and long-term goals, and develop a therapeutic plan of care.
- Implement therapeutic interventions and modalities, monitor patient progress, and adjust the plan of care as indicated.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to maximize functional abilities and independence.
- Document evaluations, treatments, and progress notes accurately while observing safety precautions, indications, and contraindications.
- Participate in discharge planning and patient education to support continued improvement after therapy sessions.
Requirements
- Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Maine.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- English language proficiency (speaking, reading, writing) required.
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the assignment location.
- Ability to work in a skilled nursing and long-term care setting.
