Responsibilities
- Deliver perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures, from preoperative assessment through postoperative recovery
- Circulate in the operating room, assist with patient positioning, prepping and draping, and ensure accurate instrument counts as part of the surgical team
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively and in the immediate recovery period; respond promptly to changes in condition
- Maintain sterile technique, manage equipment and room readiness, and support efficient room turnover
- Administer medications and interventions as ordered within scope of practice; document care accurately
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiology staff, and other team members; uphold patient safety, privacy, and evidence-based practice
Requirements
- Current, active RN license in Georgia
- Perioperative nursing experience or demonstrated capability in perioperative care (preferred)
- Ability to work 3×12-hour shifts in a perioperative environment
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; commitment to patient safety and high-quality care
- Willingness to adhere to policy, procedure, and professional standards for perioperative nursing
