Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adults across designated Med Surg units including Oncology, Hematology, Nephrology, Endocrine, GI, Dermatology, and General Medicine
- Administer prescribed medications and IV therapies; manage chemotherapy per credentialing and safety guidelines
- Monitor patient status, perform focused assessments, interpret findings, and respond to changes with timely escalation
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team; document care plans and progress in the electronic medical record (EPIC)
- Float to other units as needed; adhere to unit policies, safety protocols, and patient education needs
Requirements
- Active New York RN license with Nursys verification; RTO must be included at time of submission
- 2+ years of experience in Med Surg with Oncology exposure
- Current AHA BLS, NIHSS, and chemo certification
- EMR experience required: EPIC
- Ability to work the listed setting, including night shift and floating as needed
