Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group, following established standards and the nursing process
- Assess health status, develop and implement a care plan, and evaluate patient progress
- Supervise and direct activities of various nursing staff levels; coordinate care with other disciplines
- Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and respond to evolving clinical situations
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the treatment team to ensure safe, healing, and compassionate care; participate in discharge planning
- Document care and outcomes in the electronic health record; provide patient and family education; delegate appropriately and supervise the nursing team
Requirements
- Licensure: Current RN license in the state of practice (California) in good standing
- Certification: CPR/BLS from an approved vendor (facility policy requires BLS)
- Licenses/Certifications: AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS; AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- Experience: At least two years of recent RN experience in acute care or related outpatient settings
- Education: BSN preferred
- Other: Current Epic experience; ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment
