Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) | Templeton, California, United States | Start 09/14/2026 | 13 weeks | 36 guaranteed hours per week | Shift: 3x12 Nights | Travel - Temporary Assignment | Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting | Weekly pay $2,727-$2,901

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients and their families.
- Assess fetal and maternal status, monitor amniotic fluid, vaginal bleeding, and respond to perinatal emergencies (e.g., crash C-section, precipitous delivery, shoulder dystocia).
- Circulate for C-sections and assist with epidural catheter placement while monitoring patient status and safety.
- Develop and implement multidisciplinary care plans in collaboration with the health care team; supervise and delegate tasks to ancillary staff within scope of practice.
- Manage pain control during labor and postpartum periods; educate patients and families using developmentally appropriate teaching methods.
- Complete accurate, legible documentation of nursing care and patient responses; participate in ongoing perinatal care improvement.
- Work within the LDRP model of care; support continuous readiness for emergencies and transitions of care.
- Demonstrate flexibility during a transition period, initially working day shift as internal transfers are completed, then shifting to the night rotation.

Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (California) or as required by the assignment.
- Two years of recent Labor & Delivery experience; LDRP model experience preferred.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring as required by policy; AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS; AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS.
- EPIC experience required.
- Ability to function in a high-acuity perinatal setting; capable of managing perinatal emergencies and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to work both day and night shifts during transition; 7:00 PM–7:30 AM night hours common.
