Responsibilities
- Serve as the patient advocate by coordinating care in the preoperative and postoperative phases of the patient’s care
- Assist the operating room team as the circulator, maintaining sterile technique and supporting intraoperative needs
- Monitor patient status in the perioperative period, document care, and communicate effectively with the surgical team
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout perioperative processes and transitions
- Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient case flow and patient outcomes
Requirements
- Current RN license appropriate for perioperative practice (OR Circulator role)
- OR nursing experience or demonstrated circulator responsibilities in the surgical setting
- Ability to work in a day shift with on-call requirements
- Willingness to commit to a 13-week travel assignment with 40 guaranteed hours per week
- Strong communication skills and patient advocacy focus
- Eligibility for travel assignment and adherence to perioperative standards
