Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg, Respiratory Telemetry in Zanesville, Ohio, United States. Travel assignment starting May 18, 2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $1,948-$1,996 per week with guaranteed 36 hours. Shift: Nights, 3x12 (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). Setting: a 21-bed respiratory medical-surgical unit on a fast-paced care team.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adult respiratory and medical-surgical patients on a high-acuity unit with continuous telemetry.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, respond to rhythm changes, and implement care plans per physician orders.
- Administer medications, perform standard nursing procedures, and document in the Epic EMR with accuracy.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes; coordinate with respiratory therapy and ancillary services.
- Float as needed within scope to similar Med-Surg units such as Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders.
- No on-call requirement and ability to function effectively in a high-volume environment.
Requirements
- Active Ohio RN license
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 3 years of recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience
- Proficiency with Epic EMR (no training or refreshers provided; lack of Epic proficiency may be grounds for termination)
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting telemetry strips; competency test required on Day 1 (failure may lead to termination)
- Adaptable, efficient, and able to thrive in a fast-paced setting
