Responsibilities
- Serve as on-site House Supervisor during night shifts, providing clinical and operational leadership for assigned units
- Oversee nursing care delivery, patient safety, and adherence to policies and regulatory standards
- Coordinate staffing coverage, resource utilization, and escalation of clinical issues with the care team
- Support cross-unit operations across Float Pool, Women & Children's, and Med Surg areas to ensure continuity of care
- Collaborate with charge nurses, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams for admissions, transfers, discharges, and complex patient situations
- Contribute to performance improvement initiatives and ensure effective communication to optimize patient flow and outcomes
Requirements
- Active RN license (state-specific for the assignment)
- Minimum 3 years of direct patient care experience
- Minimum 1 year of charge nurse or equivalent leadership experience
- BLS certification required
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Experience in inpatient hospital settings and cross-unit coordination
